Certification
Maintain your certification
It is hoped that you find the Oregon Master Naturalist Program worthwhile and that you’ll continue to maintain your certification. To do so, we ask that you continue learning and volunteering. Here’s what you’ll need to do:
8 hours or more of continuing education per year
There is no shortage of seminars, classes, conferences, and field trips in Oregon that will count toward this requirement. We will even count Ecoregion Specialization classes that are not already a part of your chosen ecoregion.
40 hours or more of volunteering per year
This is on an annual basis beyond your initial 40 hours. You can continue volunteering for the same group or pass yourself around; it’s up to you! Did you know that those who volunteer in Oregon give an average of 38.3 hours of service annually? Click here to find out more.
