What is Oregon Master Naturalist?
The Oregon Master Naturalist Program is an adult education program administered by Oregon State University Forestry and Natural Resources Extension. The goal of the program is to educate citizens about a broad range of Oregon’s natural resources through a minimum of 40 hours of classroom instruction and hands-on field experiences. In return for their education, participants give back an equal amount of time in service to natural resource agencies and nonprofits within their local area. Participants who complete all course and volunteer requirements become certified Oregon Master Naturalists. Continued volunteering and course training are expected of those who wish to maintain certification.
